Principal Wheeler's Weekly Update

Good evening, Lafayette Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed their day off today and is ready to start our four-day week!

We are continuing our activities for Bullying Prevention Month, and this Wednesday is National Unity Day! To show our support, we encourage everyone to wear orange. We will continue filling the "What Does Unity Mean to You?" sign in front of the library and building class chains with Project Connect—each link representing student words of kindness and support.

Families, don't forget to mark your calendars for our Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 25, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. If you'd like to participate by decorating your trunk and handing out candy or treats, please sign up here.

Additionally, daily attendance is essential for every student's success. We appreciate your support in ensuring regular attendance and communicating any emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

Upcoming Dates:

  • October 16: Unity Day (everyone wear orange)

  • October 16 @ 6:30 PM: PTA Meeting @ LES Library

  • October 17: First Day of Book Fair

  • October 23: Report Cards Sent Home

  • October 25 @ 5-6:30 PM: Trunk or Treat

  • October 28 @ 5-6:30 PM: SEAC Meeting @ LES

As always, we appreciate your partnership and support. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (540) 310-0029.

Thank you,

Mrs. Wheeler
