Good evening, Lafayette Families,
I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend and are ready to dive into another week of learning!
Our Project Connect class chains are starting to fill up, and Bullying Prevention Month is in full swing here at Lafayette. The hallways are lined with encouraging phrases and kind words, and I love seeing what our students are writing to lift up their classmates. This Wednesday, October 23, we’ll be celebrating with Silly Sock Day — let's stomp out bullying in style with our silliest socks!
Also, report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, October 23. In addition to report cards, each class will be celebrating students who have earned Excellence in Academics and Attendance awards. These certificates will recognize students in Grades 3-5 who have achieved all A's or A's and B's, and in Grades K-2, with all E's or E's and S's. We will also celebrate students who have missed no more than 3 days of school these nine weeks. Certificates will be sent home with report cards and announced on the morning announcements next week.
Families don't forget about our Trunk or Treat event this Friday, October 25th, from 5pm to 6:30pm. If you’d like to participate by decorating your trunk and handing out candy or treats, please sign up using the link: Trunk or Treat Sign Up
