Principal Wheeler's Weekly Update: 10/28/2024

Good Evening, Lafayette Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed the cooler weather this weekend—I was glad to pull out some fall clothes and a jacket! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Trunk or Treat on Friday. It was a great success, and we loved seeing all the creative costumes! As a reminder, students are not allowed to wear costumes on Halloween. If a student arrives in costume, we will call home for a change of clothes.

Be sure to review your child's report card together, and please reach out to their teacher with any questions or concerns. You may also schedule a conference for Tuesday, October 29, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Conferences are by appointment only.

We’re wrapping up Bullying Prevention Month by showing our Lion Pride this Wednesday, Oct. 30, with yellow and black or Lafayette swag. Let's come together to support a positive and inclusive school environment!

Finally, a quick reminder of the importance of timely arrival: school begins promptly at 8:20 am, and late arrivals impact both the student and the classroom. Thank you for keeping us informed of any absences due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.
