Good Evening Lafayette Lions and Families,
May the 4th be with you!
It’s hard to believe that there are only two more weeks of school left!
This week, some students will be taking expedited retakes for the SOLs.
If your child is taking an expedited retake, here are a few simple ways you can help your child feel confident and prepared:
🍽️ Eat a health breakfast — A nutritious start to the day helps students stay focused and energized.
😴 Get a good night's sleep — Rest is key to helping students do their best!
🕰️ Arrive to school on time — A calm, on-time start helps reduce test-day anxiety.
💬 Offer encouragement — Remind your child that they’ve worked hard and you’re proud of them, no matter what.
🎒 Bring glasses, water bottle, and a book — In case your student finishes early, they can read quietly while others are still testing.
Thank you for being such a supportive part of our Lafayette community—we’re cheering on our Lions as they show what they know! 🦁📚
